I live in Amish country – the Northern portion of Indiana. I love taking pictures of the rural scenes in this area, particularly of the Amish way of life.

My photography began in High School about 1968.

It was way back then I learned how to use a camera, how to use a light meter and how to use flash and the other basics of light, time, film speed, etc. Later, when I could afford it, I had a dark room. The dark room taught me a lot, including how to take a picture in the field knowing what could be done later to make improves in the darkroom.

All the experience helped with the purchase of a digital camera and the conversion to digital manipulation. I use several different software programs now to achieve the desired look.
